Having some artistic flair but a practical nature, Ms. Johnson chose to pursue a degree in business rather than art. After receiving a B.S. in Marketing from the University of South Carolina, she went to work as a reporter for a national publishing firm in Washington, D.C. She then went to work for a trade association representing the fledging email and internet industry. An Apple Computer executive was on the board of directors and recommended the association purchase a Mac SE to create newsletters and other publications. After unpacking the boxes and figuring things out, Ms. Johnson began gaining proficiency in what was then known as "desktop" publishing.” Later, moving to another national trade association, she rose to Director of Production where she managed a six-figure printing budget and was closely involved with marketing efforts.
After years of commuting, Ms. Johnson decided to strike out on her own. For almost 20 years, she has helped a wide variety of businesses and organizations develop and hone their image and message. Her focus is always on results—the right image and the right message to reach the goal.
A client recently told her: “You did my project right and got it done quickly. Plus you’re no prima donna to work with.” Jennifer considers this one of the nicest compliments about her work she has ever received.
